Hutto Families have many needs.  You know the challenges.  The kids have their life: school, playing, chores, sports and other activities. Moms try to keep up with everyone, taking care of many different aspects of family life and health.  Dads are often working to provide for the family's financial needs and helping their children learn to be a part of society.  Family relationships can be a challenge.  There are single-parent homes.  Some are dealing with long-term disease or illness. Many families are dealing with difficult step-parent or X-spouse situations.  Think of those you know and love.  Pray for marriages and parents-child relationships. Pray that our families will turn to God, and not be afraid or ashamed to ask for neighborly help when needed.

The City of Hutto is having an election on May 9, 2009.  Pray for the elections, the City Manager, the Mayor and City Council, and the various departments.  Pray that our city will be wise and efficient.  Pray that we will be a fair and friendly community, and a great place for business and families.  Pray that we will place people above projects and programs.

The Hutto Police Department is growing right along with our city.  Many new officers have been added.  As the city grows, so does crime.  Pray that Hutto will be a city of low crime, and well know for being a just city.  A city that is tough on crime, but a city that seeks justice in all maters. Pray that our officers are kept safe and are respected in the community.

Hutto ISD is facing many challenges associated with the influx of families and children into our community.  Pray for discipline among the children.  Pray that parents will be involved in the education of their children, supportive of the teachers, involved in the life of the schools and honorable towards the school administration.   Pray for Hutto ISD Administration, School Board, Principals and teachers. May they be people of real knowledge, truth, discipline, fairness and kindness.

Hutto Churches are growing too.  Churches struggle with problems just like other organizations.  Your support and help is needed.  Pray that the churches will be a source of great faith and hope for our community.  Pray that the churches of Hutto will be known for great spiritual strength and for practical help with the everyday issues we all face.  Pray that they will grow and outpace church attendance in our state and region.

Hutto Businesses and Farmers also need your prayers.  Starting a new business is difficult and it takes a while to get a good cash flow established.  Long hours and much sacrifice is a part of the business plan.  Farmers face many ups and downs.  They work long hours when the weather cooperates, and some times they can only wait for the weather to clear.  Farming plays a major role in the history and flavor of Hutto's culture.  Ask the Lord to bless Hutto farmers and businesses.

Hutto Civic Organizations are a great part of Hutto life and cultural.  Pray that participation will continue to flourish, and that these groups will continue to grow and dream about the future of Hutto.  Pray for the Chamber of Commerce, the Hutto EDC, the Rotary Clubs and the Lions Club and many other groups that work for the betterment of our community.

News & Entertainment Media is a important and influential aspects of our lives.  We are inundated with all manner of perspectives and sometimes conflicting stories.  Please pray that we are able to discern the truth about the news and entertainment that we consume.  God help to see good as good and evil as evil, and God help the reporters to get all sides of a story out to the people.

The U.S. Military, the Iraq War, Middle East Peace & Terrorism are all matters that concern us as citizens.  While we have different approaches to solving the conflicts, we all seek peace.  We pray that our soldiers will be kept safe, that these conflicts will end, that a path to peace will be found for the Middle East, and that terrorist acts against the people of the world will be ended.

Williamson County provides many services to the people of Hutto.  We are growing, but our current size makes us very dependant upon county service.  Please pray that these county services will be run efficiently and fairly.  Pray that Hutto citizens will support and care about our county government.

Texas State Government is a large part of our lives.  The way our State Taxes are collected, the structure of the Texas government, and the size of the Texas economy are all important aspects of our lives.  Pray for our state leaders; The Governor, the Legislature, Judges, and the various state offices.  Many people get concerned about "politics and corruption" at the state and federal levels.  Pray that the men and women serving will be people of integrity. Pray that justice and wisdom will prevail.  May our leaders turn to God for guidance.

The U.S. Federal Government has become large and expansive.  Many are concerned about continued deficit spending, corruption, unjust lobbying influences, and many other issues.  Pray that our government will restored to a system that is be trusted and respected.  Pray that our leaders will be men and women of righteousness and justice.  Pray for our President, the Justice System, the Legislature, and various federal entities. Pray that our Constitution will be upheld and the balance or separation of power will be restored to mitigate corrupting influences.
